Inter Milan have signed midfielder Niccolò Barella on a long-term contract, the club announced on Wednesday.
The Italian international, who has been with Inter since he was just 14 years old, has now agreed terms until 2026.
Barella has made over 150 appearances for Inter and has won numerous honours with the club, including two Serie A titles and three Coppa Italia crowns.
He also played for Italy at Under-21 level before making his senior debut in 2019.
"We are delighted that Niccolò has decided to extend his stay with us,Serie A Stadium" said Inter president Silvio Berlusconi.
"He is one of our most important players and I am convinced that he will continue to play a key role for us in the future."
Barella has been a regular starter for Inter this season, helping them to a strong start to the campaign.
The 24-year-old's performances have earned him praise from both fans and critics alike, with many believing he could be a key player for Italy at Euro 2020 later this year.
Despite being born in Italy, Barella has represented Albania internationally at under-17 and under-21 levels, but he has yet to make a senior appearance for his country.
Inter are currently sixth in Serie A and will be looking to bounce back into the top four after a disappointing run of form in recent weeks.
