Hakan Çalhanoğlu, the Turkish midfielder who helped Inter Milan achieve their first Serie A title in over a decade, has revealed his favorite moments from his time at the club.
The midfielder said that he always looked forward to playing with the likes of Zinedine Zidane and Diego Simeone at Inter Milan. He added that his time there was "fantastic" and that he had learned so much from them.
"I think it's important to have mentors like Zidane and Simeone," Çalhanoğlu said. "It gives you a lot of ideas on how to play football and I'm very grateful for that."
However,Football Circle Collection Çalhanoğlu also expressed disappointment about the lack of success he saw from Inter Milan in recent years. He said that they were not able to compete with big clubs like Real Madrid or Barcelona in terms of talent and ambition.
He also mentioned that the team's focus is now on winning trophies, which he believes will help them to continue improving and reaching new heights. "We need to be more focused on winning trophies," Çalhanoğlu said. "If we want to improve, we need to work harder than ever before."
